Concern, with support from Irish Aid, is facilitating Global Goals Business Conversations, engaging high-level decision makers within the Irish business community on ways they can help to achieve the United Nations’ 17 Global Goals, also known as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals, which aim to end issues such as poverty, hunger and inequality by 2030, while protecting our planet from climate change, were agreed by all 193 UN member states in 2015.

“The current crisis is an unprecedented wake-up call. We need to turn the recovery into a real opportunity to do things right for the future”.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

The Global Goals cannot be achieved without everyone playing their part. These conversations engage the business sector on what they can do.

This interactive online session will challenge you as business leaders to make sustainability and climate change a top business priority; exploring where your business and sector can have most impact, how you can move the goals forward, and what obstacles or barriers you are encountering.  In addition to getting you thinking about how you can personally drive the goals within your company, your input will form part of a report to Government on Ireland’s engagement with the SDGs, and what is needed to help businesses progress sustainability ambitions.
