The Minister for Tourism has said she is pressing for the temporarily reduced VAT rate for tourism and hospitality to be extended further.  Introduced to help assist the recovery of the sectors, the 9% rate is due to return to 13.5% at the end of August.  However, Catherine Martin said the issue is ultimately one for the Minister for Finance, Paschal Donohoe.

​Julie Ennis, CEO Corporate Services, Sodexo UK and Ireland, has won the CEO of the Year Award at the Image PwC Businesswoman of the Year Awards for 2022. 

The Image Awards were established 14 years ago to honour and celebrate Ireland’s foremost female innovators and changemakers. Over 530 applications were received this year for the ten award categories, from social entrepreneurs to sustainability champions, young businesswomen and start-ups to CEOs and entrepreneurs.

EFCEM are seeking input from operators in EU countries on the operating environment and its effect on business.  The survey seeks to understand how EFCEM members are dealing with the issues caused as a result of the Covid pandemic and the current conflict in Ukraine.

Understanding how EFCEM members have been affected will provide direction for support the work of EFCEM in the short to medium term.
