EFCEM WEBINAR: Compliance and Risks on Regulatory Developments on the Horizon in RoHS and Product Safety
On Tuesday 7th December at 10am GMT, EFCEM are co-hosting a webinar on Compliance and Risks on Regulatory Developments on the Horizon in RoHS and Product Safety.
This webinar will review some of the latest updates on measures for hazardous chemicals in products. It will look at what’s in store for 2022 such as the European Commission’s plans to start a stakeholder consultation on the next RoHS Recast by the end of 2021 with the aim of adopting a proposal for a Directive by late 2022, as well as the latest updates concerning some RoHS-like regulations in the world.
Alan Cruite of Trinity Purchasing, part of the Avendra Group was elected Chair of IFSA 2021 - 2023 at the Annual General Meeting held on Monday 29th November. He will be assisted by Conrad Greene of Stephen's Catering Equipment who will act as Vice-Chair. Alan will succeed Patrick Clement who held the position of IFSA Chair since 2019. Speaking following the AGM, Alan said:

All operators in the foodservice supply chain should be aware of the Unfair Trading Practices (UTP) Regulations: S.I. No. 198/2021 - European Union (Unfair Trading Practices in the agricultural and food supply chain) Regulations 2021, which were signed into law earlier this year by Charlie McConalogue TD, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
The Regulations apply to buyers with an annual turnover over €2 million and aims to afford protection along the entire agri-food supply chain to weaker suppliers from unfair trading practices of stronger buyers and provides that complaints can be made within certain categories according to the annual turnover of a supplier compared to a buyer.
