An Rialálaí Agribhia (Agri-Food Regulator) was established as an independent state agency on 13th December 2023 under the Agricultural and Food Supply Chain Act 2023 to promote fairness and transparency in the agri-food supply chain. The Act assigns two main functions to the Regulator -

• Provision of information on the agri-food supply chain through engagement with stakeholders and the analysis of price and market data and
•  Compliance with and enforcement of unfair trading law. 

Operators are invited to join an online webinar on Tuesday January 30th @ 10.30 AM where information will be provided on:

• the main functions of the Agri-Food Regulator and

• the 2023 Unfair Trading Regulations including a summary of the main changes compared to the 2021 UTP Regulations.

 
This webinar is aimed at building awareness and understanding of the role and functions of the Agri-Food Regulator and should be of interest to all businesses operating in the agri-food sector including primary producers and representative organisations.   
 
The online chat function will be enabled during the webinar to allow for the submission of questions anonymously. The webinar should last around one hour.
