The Department of Health has released a list of 37 venues throughout the country that will be used to administer the COVID 19 vaccination over the coming months. There will be at least one vaccination centre in every county in the Republic, with bigger counties like Dublin having several centres to better service the local population. There is a particular focus on hotels and event spaces on the list, with some of the best known centres in the country taking part, including the Aviva Stadium and the Abbeycourt Hotel, Tipperary. The operation in each centre will vary in size and opening hours depending on the need in each area.
Currently, vaccines are being administered in healthcare settings and by GPs, such as the rollout for over 85s. However the majority of the population will be offered a vaccine at a centre on the newly released list. Over the coming months, people will be able to register online to travel to a centre and receive a vaccine. The full list is as follows:
