Stylish, Easy, Flexible.  An Innovation in Cold Coffee Dispense: Introducing POUR’D From Marco Beverage Systems 

Marco Beverage Systems, a global leader in manufacturing water and coffee brewing systems for the HORECA, foodservice and speciality beverage industries, has announced today the release of POUR’D: a cold coffee dispense unlike anything seen before.

POUR’D is a cold coffee dispense system that allows sites to serve cold coffee right at the point of service from a single, sleek font. POUR’D is available in two variants: ready to drink (RTD) or concentrate.

The RTD option is very straightforward. Cold coffee can be dispensed straight from a bag-in-box, urn, or container kept in the fridge, kegerator or under the counter. POUR’D RTD is available in a one button font for push and hold, a hands-free font for hygienic activation, or a three button font for up to three pre-programmed beverage sizes.

In concentrate variants, POUR’D can dispense a range of drinks from a single concentrate source. POUR’D automates the dilution process, using either chilled or mains water to dilute the concentrate for cold coffee. The system is compatible with concentrate ratios from 1:1 to 9:1. It also allows operators to pre-program up to three beverage choices and volumes. 

The POUR’D 3 Button Concentrate variant also provides a single, separate water line within the countertop font. This means that customers have the option of adding a water boiler or a water chiller to dispense either hot or cold water from the font. This means that POUR’D can deliver any combination of: 
  • Cold coffee (up to 3 sizes)
  • Shot of coffee concentrate (for iced mochas, lattes, or frappes)
  • Hot water (for tea, americano, hot chocolate) or cold water (for chilled drinks)

In a quote from Marco’s Head of Marketing Gemma Kiernan:
“The true innovation behind POUR’D is the flexibility it allows. Marco carried out extensive research on cold coffee – how it’s brewed, how it’s delivered, et cetera – and found that different sites and different roasters had different needs, POUR’D meets all of these, moving cold brew service to front of house, meaning baristas don’t need to go to the fridge or manually mix their concentrate at the start of the day. It also means that one system can deliver cold coffee, a shot of coffee, and hot or cold water, so that operators can serve multiple beverages from one system.”

There are many configurations available depending on the site’s needs. As Kiernan says:
“We’ve seen a big demand from our customers for multi-purpose systems. After such a difficult year, retailers and roasters need to keep an eye on their expenses. This means streamlining speed of service, labour costs, and equipment investment, as well as optimising their space for maximum output and efficiency,”
